I was with C company 69th from the day that we landed with our equipment on an LST at Dong Tam from Vung Tau until just before the date that they packed it in to head for Can Tho Jul 67 - Jul 68. Have many pictures of my tour in Dong Tam to include Stars and Strip articals. Never any atrocities and how the hell are you going to do that in a base camp?

I was with the 69th.eng. co. D I was with this unit for a year or so in Ft. Hood tx.before deployment to rvn.We came over as a unit(april 10,1967) on the usns Geiger. We started in Vung Tau then traveled up the river on a naval boat. About all that was at can tho field at that time was the 13th.combat aviation.Company D was commanded by James B. Summers capt. You can rest easy there were no atrocities. Liberals consider fighting for their freedom an atrocity.Kerry wasn't in Viet Nam long enough to climatize.By the way some of you might remember me by my dog.He was a young german sheppard.I brought him up the river on that naval boat.He might be the mascot CPL.I called him JB after capt. Summers. He would dig his own holes to hide in when we were attacked.Bryan
