The 67th Engr. Co. (DT) arrived in VN from Fort Campbell in 1967 and eventually was assigned to the 34th Engr. Gp. (Const.), 20th Engr. Bde. The company's second platoon supported the 9th ID initially from Camp Viking near My Tho and then on Dong Tam Base Camp after 8/69. Remained in-country until late '71 or early '72 supporting road construction projects throughout the Delta. I was a 5 ton truck driver and later company clerk with the company from 4/69 through 5/70. The company's first platoon was in Vung Tau at the Engineer Compound and later at the Vung Tau Army Airfield (about 8/69). At some point after 6/70, the two platoons were reunited in the Delta.
