The 'slicks' in the 121st AHC were the Tigers, there gunship platoon (old B- or C-model Hueys) were the Vikings. The slicks for the 336th AHC were the Warriors and their gunships were the Thunderbirds. I believe that it was the 336th that was 'first into the Delta' as an Airborne unit, later detached to 1st Aviation Brigade under the 164th Combat Assault Group/13th Aviation batallion (in Can Tho). Both groups served with distinction.
