I believe you may be Steve J Livermore. Once engaged to Elaine. You were at Fort Gordon in Apr 66,to Sept66 You smoked a pipe and hail from Williamsport Pa. There were over a thousand men in one of the student companies you were in at Ft Gordan and the bunks were stacked three high in the barracks. There were over a hundred men to a barracks meant for fifty, and the rest slept in tents in between the four barracks. No wonder you can't remember who you are! We were cattle shipped to classes in cattle car trailers in blinding summer heat. I remember you resting your hand on the soldies shoulder in front of you as we came out of the dark stiffling hot trailers squinting and lining up to go into class. Those first 4 weeks in the wooden barracks school you helped me in the evenings with the basics of ohms law and dc then ac theory or I would not have gotten through those first four weeks. Yes, I remember you, or some one with your name. I lost track of Steve J Livermore but never forgot the friend that helped me through signal school. After Ft Gordan I was in the Delta Oct66 to Oct 67. I dont know where Steve went but I'm Hopeful it's you, but if not I'm sure there is someone out there that remembers you and has equally fond memories of your of shared experiences. I was a 31E20 Field Radio Repairman. Do you remember me? Can you tell me who I am? I never felt like cattle maybe anumber, but more often after I made it to a working unit like one of the team. It wasn't pleasant being drafted and away from home but I was, and still am proud of serving. Oh! By the way Steven J. was a new RA recruit and had some prior electronics experience, along with many others that went through that school. Drop me a note even if your another Steve I'll Listen.

From another nearly forgotten soldier. George G
