Thanks again guys for your time. I've seen that young MP's face everyday for 30 years, what a waste.I think he only had 3 weeks left and people wonder why so many of us(including myself) are now needing help dealing with the memories. Alot of our brothers don't even realize that they are suffering from PTSS.In my younger days I was able to ignore it, but with the passing of time it became harder to do.I had a VA Nurse Practioner who kept nagging me about getting a PTSS evaluation. I finally relented and found out I do suffer from PTSS.It has been over a year now with daily meds (and their side effects) and weekly Doctor visits, but IfFeel better about life today than I did 30 years ago. Believe me it's hard for you and your family, but it is worth it.At first I didn't apply for benefits because my major stressor was my Father's death. My Father had gotten drunk the night I left for Nam and fell asleep on his couch with a cigarette. He died in the ensueing fire. I was notified in country 3 days later(God Bless the Red Cross) and immediately sent back home I it made to my Father's funeral in a borrowed suit.I was shipped back to Nam after the funeral apparently sufferring from PTSS.MY Veterans advisor told me that because I was already sufferring from PTSS that nam compounded its effect. I hope this helps someone and if you want to talk please don't hesitate to contact me. Just a year ago I could not have written this. Believe in yourself Brothers-kim dodds email me- kimdodds@msn.com
