I was there In 1965 that was all that was there.I took basic and AIT there before going to Nam.I was in the wooden barracks for basic,but move to the great 8 men tents for 6 weeks of AIT after coming fron Fort Dix N J 4 weeks. Got the hell out of there with 36C20 MOS.I went back to Fort Gordon January 2000 not much as I remenbered only building left from my time was Main PX and the old Bowling Alley.I guess they are right went they say you can't go back. I have been doing some researsh on my old units 267th Signal Co.,B Co.40th signal battalion and the 521th Signal Co. If anyone was in those outfits email me. I would like to have a few copys of pictures of the old wooden barracks if anyone has any. (Old Army Guy)
