I worked at Dong Tam at the MARS station. We had two stations, one in Dong Tam and one Tan An. Are Call signs where AB8AZ and AB8AU. I ran around in the boonies to different camps in a converted ambulance which was AB8AZ *portable* Most of our calls where though AD6QFJ, and AD6DFW in Sun Set Beach in Hawaii. To this day I can still remember the pre brief before the call, *Don't forget to save over when you done talking, don't talk about any thing military where doing, and try to keep it between 3 and five mins. Any one remember Dusty 1st Inf Div? He got dear johned on night and killed himself that night. Oh so long ago, but seems like yesterday.
