Back to the site, been away for awhile. thanks for the response on the SaDec questions. The young man shot down was Jimmy Johnson. Does anyone remember the red-headed 52 sig commander at that site around 68-69? We use to climb the radio tower (maybe 200') and watch the gun ships shooting it up on the opposite bank of the river.
Back in Can Tho, 68-69, I was an air courier. Any memories of that unit? It was out of the com center. Do you recall the night the VC took a large portion of the perimeter, killed some on quard duty, and blew up some of the 244th Cobras etc.? Finally, does anyone remember an imprmptu rock and roll band we put together in Can Tho? Played for a few parties and would jam in one of the barracks? HEY JUDE... that was big. I was the drummer and went to Siagon to pick up a set to make the music. Any memories?? As I feel at times I've got a tad of 'old timers' settin in when it comes to specifics, but I'd love to remember more...maybe you can help. Be back soon. And don't forget, FTA ha ha. Jim
