Jeff, some of what you say is right on.Aside of the American 9th Div. most of the rest of us supported South Vietnameese troops,Army, Navy, Regional Forces, Marines, ect. We wore the MACV patch until Sep 1966. Then we wore the 1st Avn. Bde. patch. Some of the Aviation Companies were in the IV corps for a long time. U.S.Marines, SHUFLY, SocTrang, APR 62-SEP62 93/121st Avn.,SocTrang, SEP 62- DEC 70 Co.A/101 ABN. SocTrang, APR 65- MAR 71 114th Avn., VinhLong, MAY 63-FEB 72 62/502/175th AHC, VinhLong, SEP 64- FEB 72 MAAG/MACV Advisors were there before that and possibly stayed afterwards. Our stories arent told much. We didnt have division historians writing it down. All I know is I went to work every day. Most of us aviation types have been all over the IV Corps. I dont know what that has to do with CanTho/BinhThuy I guess I just felt like blabing.
