I'm taking a shot in the dark here.. but i'm wondering if anyone remembers my brother, Walt Siegmann, who spent time in CanTho. The account of the attack on CanTho airfield during Tet '69 certainly rings a bell from recollections from my brother. He served two tours of Vietnam, from about 1968 to 1970 or so. My brother never spoke much about what he did in Vietnam; but, this one instance does ring a bell with me from our late night conversations. My brother was the VSO for Brown County, Minnesota for a number of years. My brother died at the age of 53 in 1998 from non-hodgkins lymphoma (sp??) God I miss my brother.. For some reason I need to reach out here to find out if anyone remembers the young Minnesota musician who found himself in a different world. It's always been a mystery to me what he did.. how did he make a difference.. it's a part of him I never knew much about. He always told me there just wasn't much he could tell me about.. supposedly because of the type of work he did there. Christ.. I have tears in my eyes because I can't talk to him anymore. But, perhaps someone remembers him. I was a little kid (ten years younger than he)and about all I remember was missing him then, as I do now, but he came home from Vietnam. Again, if anyone would beable to reply to this I'd be greatful.
Sincerely, Bob
