Walter Guest. http/www.dowguest@yahoo.com I was a civilian in Viet Nam but I got shot at and am ex Air Force so I guess I qualify to be on this site. I was the engineer when we rebuilt the Soc Trang airstrip early in 1963. I was also the engineer on the Can Tho dock and ammo dump job later that year. I was in that Can Tho hotel that took a grenade in Nov., 1963 I wrote a story, in two parts, called “The Soc Trang Tigers.” It’s all about Tuffy the tiger and Tiger the dog, the Soc Trang pets. I wrote another story called “Military Intelligence,” which describes my difficulties in driving from Soc Trang to Can Tho and back on a road that was closed. You can find both stories on my website www.newsfrombangkok.blogspot.com If you want to copy either or both, be my guest. Just credit me and put in a link. Or email me at the yahoo address. I had many friends at Soc Trang.
