I was stationed in Can Tho and operated out of Binh Thuy AB. I worked with the USAF Office of Special Investigations (OSI)and worked out of Hotel #3 in the city. I was very familiar with the dangers of "cowboys" in Ben Xe Moi decending on a lone G.I. I left country approx. Dec 10, 1970. Our investigations included criminal activity affecting USAF personnel, as well as counterintelligence. OSI would have closely involved in the investigation surrounding this killing.

This incident had to have happened AFTER Dec 10,1970 because I would have been aware of it. There was no such incident that you mentioned while I was in-country. If it did happen before, if may have been covered up by the joint American/Vietnamese intelligence community for some unexplained reason.

This incident once again points out some of the scum bags we were defending in the Delta. They were neither Pro-Government or Pro Cong. They were nothing more than parasites who robbed, cheated, and murdered. Sometimes it used to make you wonder.
