Probably most of u never heard or knew James Jones, from Sharon Massachusetts. But he served in the U.S. ARMY and had been stationed at Can Tho airfield. I dont know what year because I always said I will ask him next time I see him.We work at the same facility, but in different departments. He worked shift work, I am a 7am to 3am, so I didnt see him much. His first wife had died from cancer, so when my wife had a battle with it he had a ton of advice for me.But I didnt talk Army talk, because I said next time I see him, I will ask him. When I would see him, I was busy or he was busy-I said to my self next time I will ask him about his Army time. His family and him had a tough time when his wife had the cancer. Then at work here the new owners laid off a lot of people, with out any severance and only 3 months medical insurance, he was a chief stewart and he negotiated hard with the negotiator from the company, which consumed a lot of his time.I talked about the union and the people laid off, but didnt find out what year he was in Nam.Jim was a great helper of all the folks here at work.Jim was 57 years old when he died of a heart attack early Saturday morning(12June2k4)I was told the news this Monday morning . Now I cant ask him what year or what his Mos was. I wish now I made the time to ask him a lot of questions of his time in the Nam. But like a lot of people I thought I was to busy. I was in Vietnam in 1969, I know he was there before me probably 1967 or 68.Maybe some day I will findout what year he gave for democracy in that little hell hole called Nam.Jim u will be much missed by a lot of peopole...u were truly a GOOD GUY. God bless u and your family. Bob Gouveia
