Barry;
I certainly remember the search light guys. I was an MP guard with the 156th Aviation Co. often with nighttime responsibilities along the west perimeter Oct '66 - May '68. Later in my assignment there, I recall the Jeeps fixed with a strange TV screen-like contraption that generated a broad beam of heat that could be changed to white light once a target had been found. Operators used special binoculars to peer into the heat beam. I always wanted a lesson on how this all worked. How about one now? Please tell me that the really cool binoculars that I envied altered infra-red to a visible length 'er something. Jim Price, 156th Aviation Co. Can Tho, Oct '66 - May '68 jprice@mail.ifas.ufl.edu
