I too appreciate your comments and thanks for our efforts. I spent almost 2 and a half years in the Delta, and during that time I met and got to know many fine Vietnamese people. I often wonder how they fared after our pull out. I only hope that they did well or escaped to other countries.
I have often wondered about Father Chau, a Vietnamese Catholic Priest who ran a church and an orphanage there in Soc Trang. He was a good fellow who did alot for the ophans. And he could get us to do most anything for him. He certainly had the SeaBees wrapped around his little finger. I hope the angels smiled on him and took care of him after we left.
