In July and Aug. of 70 my unit, the 69th Inf. Det. (anti-personnel RADAR) was stationed about 4 klicks from Cambodia. We wrer there to to support a long range RADAR unit that was tracking infiltrators from the Gulf of Saim. After we were up there for a couple of days an engineering unit came to blow a rock out crop that was in our way. Two of the engineers hit a mine and got wouded. We called in a Dust-Off and the VC mortared the area. The chopper got hit with shanpnal and took off. One of my guys and some of the RADAR unit guys broght the wounded up to the top of the hill and another Dust-Off took them out. Was this your unit. Ieft the hill for Vinh Long not long after this happened. Sgt. Larry Hoelscher
