Scott: I was there from mid-February '68 til same '68. I don't recall a whole lot of guys mixing from/between one unit and the next. The MP's guarded our gates...there was an ARVN compound right outside our gate, between us and the road into Soc Trang. There was probably as many bullets coming from them into our base as there were coming from the treelines...little bastards. Anyway, the MP's pretty much stuck to themselves. We all did. And of course, they were the ones who responded to the fights, esp. in the EM bar/lounge. The King assassination in April didn't do much for morale either. Those were very tough times, Scott...maybe he's been haunted. I hope you find him. If you do, give a pat on the back from me. Sp4 Pat Dwyer, 357th Avionics
