Greg; I was with the 156th Avn. Co. Oct. '66 thru May '68...it is good to see communications from others from the 156th. It seems that our times there overlaped a few months, but, sorry, I can not recall you. I, as you, do remember Trask, Munson, and Miller.
I was an MP guard at the hotel operations and on the airfield perimeter and by the time you arrived was a sergeant and in charge of the 156th guards. All of those guys were great to work with and have kept my admiration. I correspond with David Clagget, Alan Legro, Ken Hartz and one from long before your time, David McQuillen. I have lost track of James Robinson ("Robbie") but expect him to re-emerge sometime. If there is any chance that you remember us guards as a group, but can't pick me out, just remember that I was the really cool one.
Now I am seeing the approach of the end of a career as an entomologist (maggots and flies), a pursuit focused by wonder at seasonal piles of rice beetles under Can Tho lights and bragging rights occasionally earned by having the most mosquito bites at the close of night-time bunker duty.
Have a great life!
