The Bassac River ran from northwest to southeast past Bihn Thuy and Can Tho. The airfield was almost exactly 90 degrees to the river. My memory no longer tells me the actual runway numbers, as they were never painted on the PSP or, later, the PAP. I flew 300 missions out of there in RU-6A and RU-8D, and another 40 or so flights to Saigon in one of the "slicks." As many times as I've heard the numbers through my headset you'd think I would remember. I am quite sure that walking the runway from the boonie end, toward the road to Can Tho, you were walking northeast, approximately 060 degrees.
I am also pretty sure I remember you. Were you there between July '67 and July '68?
