the stories that uou guys tell are after my time there as the unit was still on the side of the airfield by the POW compound. There hade been a lights on the pirimeter after the 13th of Jan the ammo dump was not hit then the reason we got it that night was we were dropping a lot of stuf in the U Minh One of the hooks had a hole in the bottom but did not realy go up thank god as we did not have our gas maskes with us I took the reactionary force out and we crossed right behind them we had to hump it out as we were not sure as to the condition of the trucks When this happened the latrene was across the other side of the road We only had 2 men in a bunker till that time then it went to 4 but we got no time off it is a wonder tha there were not a lot more of us killed after as the flight crews had to do the same was a long long time ago
