I haven't seen any mention of two Army fixed wing units that operated from Can Tho. The 156th Avn Co (RR) operated RU-6 "Beavers" until early 1972 when they stood down. Somewhere around August of that same year, the 146th Avn Co (RR) moved to Can Tho from their previous home at Long Thanh North airfield up near Long Bien/Bearcat area. We operated the noisy old RU-8D (Beech Twin Bonanza)airplanes with antennaes all over them. We were among the last people to leave when the war ended. J-2 MACV wanted their intel reports right up to the last day. Blue Skies to All!
