Chuck there were 2 insidents that the ammo dumps got blown up one happened at about dark. Iwas working on my ship {a d model one of the only 2 slicks the 235th had]Iwas on top of the rotor mast safety wiring the jesus nut retaining lock when a pari of rockets launched from a Cobra a couple of reventments down one stuck in a reventment and the other went by me scared the hell out of me and I jumped to the ground spraing my wrist and anckle,the rocket hit one of our ammo break down areas at the end of the active. The other incident happened latter at night ,we were watching movies on the back of the mess hall wall when we took a couple of chi-con 120mm motor rounds one hiting the main ammo dump the guy killed was a nembie in our co. he had only arrived that day and know one even knew his name. I was assigned to help clean up the mess the next day and all we found of the guy was a couple of his fingers. The guy who was susposed to be on duty that night was Marty Martinez. He got in a lot of trouble over that incident.
