I was an MP in Can Tho and what I heard about this incident was that a black guy enterred the showers with an M-16 and killed four or five guys. He was then intercepted on the highway going from Binh Tuey and Can Tho by MP's. He fired at the Mp's and they shot him twice with M-16's. I was told that they hit him in the chest and in the thigh. He was then brought to the Third Surg. where they opened him up while he was still awake and operated. I was told that he was medivaced to Japan where he survived the shooting. I don't recall the names of the MP's involved.
