I was in the 235th AWC from September 1970 to JULY 1971. My CO was Maj Jerome Daly, best CO I ever had. Brought us all back from Lam Son 719 without even any wounded but some loss of aircraft. He was Aviator of the year in 1968 and commanded the in country Cobra transition school at Vung Tau in 69-70 I believe. Some of the guys I can remember were Greg Chatagnier from Louisiana, Bill Finley from South Carolina who married a Vietnamese girl while I was there and extended with Greg Chatagnier and took off on R&R to the Netherlands for a month or so. Used to do missions at Camau and flew off of the USS Cleveland when we went back into Cambodia in late 1970. Had to fly route 4 up to the Nich Pil Pass to help keep it open for resupply into Phnom Penh. Would like to hear from anyone at the E-Mail address above. Also a guy named Neil Gleason (called him Jackie) from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
