Looking for anyone that remembers April 11, 1971 I was on patroll with an arvin troop. It was on or about 11:00 am when 50-55, North Vietnamese Army Personnel, hereby referred to as” Charlie” ambushed us. I kept calling for air support “Songbird 68 to Green Delta”. Most of the arvins ran away letting Charlie take over 2 Armor Personnel Carriers. Charlie turned them on us. I thank God, and the pilots of that flight that day for saving my life, and the lives of my fellow soldiers. . Later that day, through interrogations, we gain important knowledge of Sgt. Took, (spelling unknown). A Sergeant within the Arvin troop, and Interpreter for MACV’s First Sergeant Day, was “Charlie.” He was leaking vital information about our activities, and position. If anyone remembers this please contact me at patskimit@ayhoo.com thanks for listening. Kenneth Couch
