THIS WAS THE HEADQUARTERS FOR 52nd SIG. BN. I worked downstairs in the supply room as the Armorer. The weapons were located in the Vault. Anyone else out there from HHD ? I arrived there in mid-Jan. 68. Was the machine gunner on the Capt's jeep on convoys. Was later in the year trans. to A Co. to be their Armorer. Anyone recall a sp/4 Chuck Hovell or E-6 Comstock in the A-Co. Supply Room ? Well I was with those guys . Talk about some crazy shit! I once had a detail of VC prisoners, 10 of them, in the supply room cleaning my weapons in the Arms Room! No ammo available, of course, only in my round chambered M-16, with safety off!I can't remember how many people came in the supply room that day, but they did an immediate about-face! when they saw these gooks w/weapons. If the wrong person came through that door, I may have been Courtmartialed, do ya think? Well lets hear from someone From HHD or A-Co. Supply who might remember me. Murf the Surf moosemuk@ncia.net
