I was NCOIC of the medical unit supporting the airfield from Oct 67 to Oct 68. Do you know if the 69th Infantry Detachment provided perimeter guard during this period. I was awarded a bronze star for valor for rescuing the Lieutenant in charge. He had charged far beyond the perimeter to suppress the attack. He was wounded severely and pretty much out of it. The next morning he thought I was VC and tried to stab me. I would like to know a little more about the 69th if they were there during TET of 1968
