I spent many a morning in Olgas-we took turns doing 30 days on the line for guard duty-after a long -usually smoky night along the perimeter-was ready for a good meal. Always the same for me-a humongous plate of Combination Fried Rice-big bowl of Chinese Noodle Soup- with very questionable vegetables-but damn-it was sooo good!!! To drink-a Tom Collins-with a maximum of Tom and not much Collins- After a meal like that -could go to the barracks and sleep like a baby-with the fan blowing on me through the skeeter netting,sleeep wasnt so bad! Recall one time when a new guy came in to the unit-took him to Olgas and we tried to see who could drink the most Bam MiBa (33) beer-had six myself-staggered to the Airfield-and slept 18 hours straight. Never drank tht stuff again!!
