when i was stationed at vien long one of us had to come to cantho dailey. i always drove the 2-1/2 ton. that was at time a nice drive as for me it was maybe once eveery other week. later it became 2-3 times a week. the ferry across the river sometimes was bad as many kids worked the area. a couple of times there was so much traffic that i got across after dark, not a very nice feeling if you know what i mean. i was shot at only once on an area that was very open. when i got to cantho i was glad that i never had to cross that river again.
