Hi Steve, Yes, the photos tend to bring some memories back for all of us.
I thought I had seen one or two in the discussion from around the 69-70 time and hoped they would jump in.
But I guess the heat still has everyone down or something.
Have some old Joe Cocker tunes playing on the CD right now, and yes I remember making it over to the club a few nights too. I was about 25 or 26 when I was over there, with a wife and son at home. When I had more than a few drinks I would either get angry or cry in my beer thinking about home, so normally I held it down and would leave the club after about 3 beers. Keeping myself too busy to think about home worked best for me, when I was there. And that was easy because the more our Comm. Circuits, going out of country, were transitioned over the more unstable they got.
I see Jim jumped in. Jim and Fred were there just before me, 71-72 I think.
If you are somewhat familiar with the land marks between the club and the hanger area, I could use any help I can muster on the attempt at a camp layout that is linked off the map page. I have too few brain cells these days to get things close to correct with my memories.
I hope some of the guys that were there when you were stop by soon.
