I thought Tomlin was my Sgt. He was the guy who broke me in on all the commcenter jobs. But, the first week I was there, they tried to make an air courier out of me. They gave me a 45 and I believe Roper took me on an air courier route through all the little air fields in the Delta. I remember sitting in the cargo hold with a satchel of classified mail and zooming down at a steep angle onto these small airfields, while choking on airplane exhaust fumes. I lasted one day as an air courier because the combination of the exhaust and the air manuevers caused me to throw up everytime we descended on a landing. I'm pretty sure Roper was the guy who went along the first time. I also remembered Tomlin as a big friendly guy.
