I remember the names Roper and Tomlin. I think that you guys who went through Tet were closer with your own guys than the guys who came after Tet. I got there after Tet, but the vets had told me that you guys had just gotten over being mortared for 30 days in a row. My first night, we had a rocket attack and I remember that shrapnel hit the metal latrine between the barracks. But I do remember Roper and Tomlin, at least by name. I recall Roper might have helped train me, but I could be wrong. Jim
